1 edit | AT&T Makes a Statement
AT&T has made a statement regarding the issue:
"We have no evidence of any problem on our network. We've also had no complaints from Mediacom on this matter and have no open tickets or alarms for the facility that serves this area."
It appears this statement is coinciding with the apparent improvement to Mediacom customer's P2P abilities, while also being in conflict with Mediacom's statement. How many of you are still experiencing P2P connectivity problems? |

I tried P2P, and it didn't work. I wrote my last comment, then submitted the post. I tried P2P 5 minutes later, and it's working again. Sorry for the first post.

| reply to SlyckTom This is a standard AT&T tactic. I used to have a bunch of frame relay sites provided by AT&T. We would have an outage, would call and open a ticket, and an automated message would call back and say their testing couldn't find a problem, but miraculously the line would then be working.
P.S. Sprint is my current provider and they're no better. I actually get better service at our $90/month biz DSL/VPN sites than I do with my $2k/month frame sites. |

| said by bradleym :This is a standard AT&T tactic They all do that. Whenever I would call in about a T-1 circuit being down they would NEVER say they found a problem. Always no trouble found, but then it was working. I remember one time arguing with the tech who kept claiming there was no trouble, finally he says, "hang on ine minute". He comes back on and says he couldn't find a thing, but the circuit came back up while he had me on hold. Amazing. Didn't matter if the carrier was US West, GTE, or some independent telco. |
