I still can't find anything about how I would log in at a Freedom Link hot spot on SBC's site-they don't seem to want to make this too "common knowledge." -- Glenn-Remembering 9-11-01 "Let's Roll!" |

| second page of that other thread raises the issue whether merely connecting wirelessly during the free trial period will constutute (or effect) a change and foul up grandfathered experts plus at reduced price. worries me as i ponder whether to give sbc freedomlink a try |
|
gdm Premium,MVM join:2001-06-15 Mchenry, IL clubs: | Well I can't say but I would guess if you haven't migrated to sbc/yahoo it could. Think of all the other things sbc/yahoo people get...free dialup, launch cast, 2gig email, 20 meg ability to send/receive attachments now, etc. |

1 edit | i migrated to sbc/yahoo a couple of years ago. people's comments imply, but don't expressly assert, that if a grandfathered experts person has already migrated to sbc/yahoo, merely connecting to sbc freedomlink's service during free trial purchase will not constitute (nor effect) a "change" and screw up billing. but i'd love to hear someone say that expressly (especially someone official)! thx |

| Interesting point...but I don't think it will screw up the billing that would be like using dialup and screwing up the bill cycle.
The only way you can effectively get your Expert Plus taken away per say is the following.
- if you move, service goes bye bye - if you don't pay your bill....could possibly lose not a 100% on that - if you change to another DSL package off course. |
