CWShredder Ver 2.0

I suppose everyone knows that MajorGeek has this version of CWSchredder? Cleaned 2-3 variants that the previous version missed.

The download will place an InterMute folder in your C:\Programs containing SpySubtract\CWShredder.exe and IMReport.exe. part of SpySubtract. This is a scanner similar to HJT with a report(to InterMute)button. It is optional and not automatic. Have to check that out.

I looked all over their site and couldn't find any information.

That is a pity: I was hoping for more as the number of new variants has increased substantially since Merijn stopped work on it.

An expert in what?

It is a shame that intermute are not more forthcoming on what CWShredder will remove.

I would prefer to have it from the horse's mouth, as it were.

That's one reason why I will not download this new version. I don't even know whether it's been approved by Merijn. In fact, I don't know anything about it.:o

What's New With CWShredder?

Originally developed by Merijn Bellekom of the Netherlands, CWShredder™ is now owned and maintained by InterMute. CWShredder has been updated to include new CoolWebSearch variants. Use in conjunction with SpySubtract for the strongest defense against Spyware threats.

EDIT: I have requested a changelog from Intermute Support, I will post reply when I recieve it.

I saw that link from another post. It tells me nothing, unless my browser is not configured to show something.

Not by any means an expert. It does though find CWS.Hidden Dll, I didn't know I had a problem and it pulled it off my machine!
