Yeah, I live far enought away that anything other than phone lines and power will run out here. Wireless connection would be fine with me. Now I also like to game so I'd LIKE to have something lower than 500ms, I get about 250-900 depending, and that is over 56k! (Good dial-up commpany, Shentel)
If anything like that was out here I'd get it, but yes truly ment for field use. |

| 1x and 1xrtt are cheap now if you purchase an agreement. I run about 40 megs a day over it on verizon and pay less then $75 a month. But I also have company phones threw verizon as well. -- "It's always funny until someone gets hurt......and then it's absolutely friggin' hysterical!" |

| Cheap considering that they are mobile, pricy compared to dialup, dsl or cable. If I was mobile, and had 'good' connectivity at home, I'd be using a datacard or tethered phone. At home, my 26.95 dsl (1500/256) is cheap, and at work, my DS-3 (12 users) is damn fast

| Ok.. no more fighting on evdo vs. wifi... they are now compatible... or better said... complementary... you can now do evdo sharing over wifi using a small converter router...
