Java 5.0 Released

Java 5.0 was officially released today.
I have been running and testing the beta release for many months and its very smooth. Just installed the official release and working very smooth.

I just went to my Java Program and clicked UPDATE and it told me i already have the latest release (1.4.2_05)

I dunno.........

Don't trust the update button... I don't think i've ever seen it work properly.

You need to uninstall your current Java (Control Panel >> Add/Remove Programs) then go to java.sun.com and install the 1.5 JRE. The online install works just fine.

But I dont think 1.5 is OFFICAL yet,why wouldnt it come up when i check my UPDATE with my java program???

I dunno......Ill look into it...

It's official, the auto update doesn't work all the time. Go to their site and you'll be able to grab it.
