It's probably a USTAR Model #iAN02EX. If you flip the ATA over, you should see this indicated as "Model Name". A short one page product brochure is at »www.utstar.com/Solutions/Documen···02EX.pdf. I haven't found more extensive documentation online.
Most notably, I've found that the web interface provides access to the basic features, but a much richer set of options is available via the telnet interface. Be careful though -- reprogramming the ATA may make it incompatible with Lingo's service.

| I just ran across a press release from a week and a half ago (below) that indicates Lingo may be rolling out a new ATA in partnership with D-Link: the D-Link DVG-1402S/L. Does anyone have experience with this device? At first blush the new ATA appears to be a fully functional router & firewall, which would be nice since currently I must run my UStar ATA behind my router for a number of reasons. A combined ATA/router/firewall would offer significant advantages.

| sorry no camera.... it looks more slick and is smaller than the origional. Still has all the standards ports in the back (wan eth phon1 phon2 line). on this one, the 'line' port doesn't seem to ring the phone like the old ata did. if the voip is dead it will default the the land line but if the voip is working it won't ring the phone if the land line is ringing :-/ i'm waiting for a LNP so that was a nice feature to have... | |

| Actually the weight seems to be about the same and the dimensions.I sat the old box on top of the new Starcom and they were almost identical in size.Haven't had time to ask T2 what benefits it has over the azacal200 but there must be or they wouldn't have changed.I understand that's the only ATA that's being shipped out as of Monday.The only reason i had a change out was to try and correct some issues and so far so good.I really didn't expect to get the newer model, just wanted my service to work right. | |

| i do tech support for lingo, and the old AZAtel boxes had a LAN DHCP problem, it would not give out LAN DHCP unless you turn the lingo on first, then your cable modem. I believe they got these new boxes to fix this problem, but you guessed it, it still has the SAME DHCP LAN problem | |

| As far as what is shipping the UTstarcom is the latest.I was told it was being shipped only as of a month ago by a Tier two tech.Was told they were not even informed about the D-Link except that Fry's(The first retail store to get them) would have the unit in the stores by Christmas.This guy said nothing was nailed down about the specifics of and if it would be considered an upgrade for a price or you would have a choice..talked to him this morning after i posted this yesterday.Tier 1 guys don't even know about the UTStarcom yet, well the two that i spoke with about a ticket i have open didn't........ | |

| Re: [Primus] Cool new ATA My information is that the UT-Starcom unit has been shipping, as the "standard" Lingo ATA for over a month now. The D-Link is going to be strictly a retail-sale bundled item, as far as I know (although you can buy it on-line through D-Link); the D-Link product and bundling was designed to compete with the Vonage bundling and AT&T CallVantage bundling at retail outlets like Best Buy, Circuit City, Frys, etcetera. I have heard a rumour that they may offer the D-Link to existing customers at an "upgrade" price, but that is STRICTLY a rumour.
The rationale that I was given for moving to the UT-Starcom unit was simply that UT-Starcom would provide better support to Primus/Lingo and more frequent/better firmware upgrades. Functionally, it is the same as the Azacall and uses the same chipset. It was just a matter of Lingo switching suppliers to get better support or perhaps even better pricing; I honestly do not know about the pricing, but you can speculate that price may have been a factor.
