I've not had any personally but I see no harm in scanning them. If you select a Full Scan in Ad-Aware SE it will scan within your archives even if you don't have that setting checked off. Usually when they request a log file they will ask that you do a full scan.

Or if bundled spyware is compressed, or if you purposely archive your Kazaa executables or other spyware-wrapped software, etc.

I let it scan everything but was just wondering because I have never heard of as/spy ware in archives. |

So far I haven't. However, if you don't mind having it scan a little deeper, I don't see any problem with scanning zip and cab files. Especially if you have alot of them. |
