| One system, two weeks, not rollout
Well, it's been two weeks now since Cox announced the M.A.C. system upgrade began in Lafayette, LA, a city considering starting municipal ISP due to the lack of attention they've received from the commercial providers.
So far, Lafayette is the ONLY city in the Middle America Cox division to receive the upgrade. Coincidence? NOT!
This is not a sign of any sort of rollout of upgrades. Looks to me like it's an attempt to squash competition, while still ignoring the real issue. One more strike against Cox Communications in the "we want your trust" department.

"Middle America Cox" customers passed over for three upgrades, but still saw rates equal to the upgraded markets. Most of MAC still running at 1/4 speed for the same rate. Cox has finally begun to upgrade MAC - will they complete the job? When? |
