 XP PRO-SP2-JAVA1.4.2_05

I am currently unable to get any results from running the speed tests or tweak test on BBR, Speakeasy-Hou, or Bellsouth fastaccess. I am running XP Pro, recently downloaded SP2, Java 1.4.2_05 (I had been running I believe 1.4.2_04) on BS with DSL extreme. Prior to SP2 I was able to run these tests with no problem. After downloading SP2, I immediately had problems so downloaded Java 1.4.2_05. Still have problems. It appears that the applet is working as I can see the tests being run, but on the speed and tweak test it will not redirect to the results page. Everything just stops. When I use the BS site an error page opens and says that one problem may be that I do not have Java installed. However, I can open the Java Console and see the results and I will include them at the bottom of this page (Java console doesn't seem to work on the other sites as no info is displayed). So far, I have gone through the I.E. options and made sure that Java was enabled under the Security and Advanced tabs and under the Managing Add-ons I can see Java listed as currently loaded. I also verified that the browser was selected in the Java Control panel.
If someone out there has any ideas I would be grateful for the help as I am still a relative novice at this stuff. Here is the results of the Java Console on Bellsouth.

I hope you may be running NIS... here's a very simple solution if you are:

Thanks Crystal Sky but I am running NSW 2003 along with ZA Pro 4.5.594.000. Also, I have IE popup blocker disabled. Prior to downloading SP2 I did not have any problems with seeing the results of the tests.

Do you have any other pop-up blocker running? I am not familiar with ZAP - does it have an ad-blocker or pop-up blocker as well? The IE pop-up blocker has no bearing on this one. Disabling it through NIS 2003 is what worked for me.

I'm sure these rough edges will work out as soon as everyone figures out what the work-arounds will be.

You may want to post in the »Microsoft help forum. There are a few Java threads running right now.

Yes, ZAP has an ad blocker and I was just experimenting with it and lo and behold, if I turn off ad blocking in ZAP everything works o.k. Also, I re-enabled IE pop up blocker and set it to high and it appears that everything is working o.k. Guess maybe MS doesn't want us to use anything else? Anyway, thanks for the help, greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I had similar problems (with IE6 and WinXP SP2). I set up the ad-blocker of IE6 off and ZoneAlarm Pro on off too. Before that I install the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine on my computer (that, I don't know it it finally help) so you may need msjavx86.exe (see ling above) (anyway that won't hurt if you go on web site using older version of script. But surely setting up ad-blocker off help makes the all thing working again.
