Yeah, The Fox News Channel is run by a dead Nazi propagandist. Your idiocy hardly warrants comment, but rather speaks volumes as to the sad state of the hate filled Democratic Party.

Yeah, Kerry's OWN WORDS are quite offensive to the Democratic Party. How are complete and in context Kerry quotes ANTI-KERRY? How is showing complete and in context Kerry's comments in interviews Anti-Kerry? Of course unless Kerry HIMSELF is anti-Kerry, which it seems you think that is the case. If not, perhaps you should bother going to a site before forming judgement....THAT'S hypocrisy. I know the DNC spent a week on the 4 months that Kerry was in Nam and conveniently SKIPPED his 19 years in the U.S. Senate...but that's a history you'll have to deal with if he's YOUR candidate. -- »www.scaryjohnkerry.com

On topic was lost with the first post & you've done nothing to help return it to topic.
Now, A word or two to try and regain an at least slightly related eval of the NYTimes' technology reporting in general. I read the NYTimes, not all of it and not daily but regularly. And it must be said, their technology section dubbed 'Cicuits' and their main personality Mr. David Pogue is a fricken embarrassment to reporting. Other departments at the Times do a good job (though the WashPost has more reporting integrity these days) and seeing as ours is a technology website community I think we should be giving Mr. Pogue and the NYTimes hell. They dumb down everything technical with a tongue-in-cheak, gee-wizzy ain't it crazy kinda language aimed at socialites & suburban, home entertainment users ... ACK! They handle the business side of tech with a little more aplomb, but the actual technology research, development and the social impacts of deployed technology is routinely glossed over and poorly presented .... In My Notso Humble Opinion.
Ok, rebuttals or refinements please. |

Oh well, this thread is a lost cause Don't get me wrong, there is plenty I disagree with Bush on.
1. The Constitution of the United States is not a place to insert Family Law. A gay marriage ban at this time would be like inserting a ban on interracial marriage in the 50's.
2. Bush is a hypocrite when it comes to Israel. He calls on them for restraint when they're attacked, yet when we're attacked, we end 2 states and are now looking for more.
3. Bush handed out millions in an ill conceived farm bill that simply lined the pockets of supercorps like ADM, and dopes like Al Gore.
4. Bush's Medicare plan doesn't permit negotiation of drug prices and he won't allow drug imports which would save us potentially billions.
5. Seems every week he's selling us out to Mexico, costing states like California BILLIONS in unfunded mandates with the Federal failure to secure our borders.
...just to name a few.
If you want to disagree with Bush, do it with ISSUES, not mindless hate filled attacks that seem to be the only think coming from the leadership of the Democratic party lately.
If Lieberman was running, I would vote for him over Bush. But Kerry is a man without conviction. There is a long documented history of him changing his position with the wind. Even during this campaign, he goes to Detroit touting how he owns all these SUV's, then 2 weeks later claims oh, his family owns them not him, when challenged by environmentalists. Most recently, he's bragging he's on the list for a Ford Escape hybrid SUV...really? Which of the 5 mansions he has to heat is he going to stay in before he flies is private multimillion dollar fuel gulping jet to pick this thing up? He's flip flopped so many times it's sickening. On the Iraq war alone, he's flip flopped 5 times. For it, against it, for it, against it. Most recently he's for it...just in a different way which he so far has refused to clarify. During the convention he claims that we shouldn't send our troops into combat without the ammunition, body armor etc...even going so far as to bitch that families shouldn't have to pass around a collection plate to buy body armor...yet HE was part of a tiny handful that voted NAY against the $87B supplemental that PAID for body armor, that PAID for ammunition, that PAID for armor for humvees. On July 11th he stated that the war was a mistake. Yesterday he said that knowing then, what he knows now, WMDs and all, he still would have supported the ousting of Saddam. He's quite unbelievable.
Not until the primary system is changed will moderate level headed thinkers like McCain or Lieberman have a chance. Until then wack jobs of both parties rule their respective roosts.
I long for the days when the Democratic Party is again the party of Roosevelt, Truman and JFK rather than hate mongers like Michael Moore. When Democrats stood for working people, not fringe special interests.
I long for the days when the Republican Party is again the party of SMALLER government who respect individual liberty and stands against this neo-Fascism the neocons are ramming down our throats. -- »www.scaryjohnkerry.com

Again, if the Dems had put up someone like Biden or Lieberman, either would have my vote over Bush. IMO, Bush is NO Republican. He's a religious fanatic and his faith is getting in the way of his representing ALL Americans...failure to fund stem cell research a prime example of this, his Constitutional amendment plan...another.
There is plenty of perspective here...and objectivity. And with that, I take my rants elsewhere Have a great afternoon. -- »www.scaryjohnkerry.com
