The only time I have any Vonage related problem is when I have an Adelphia cable modem problem. Otherwise, all is good all the time. Regarding emergencies, a cell phone is good for that. If you don't have a cell phone or have weak cell coverage in your area, a) get the least expensive POTS line or b) meet your neighbors and use their phone.

Vonage has given me much more than any ripoff POTS provider can, at less than half the price. |
