| [Vonage] delay delay help
Ok I have had two vonaage VOip accounts now for over a year however the insane delay at times is causing me such headache.. we have a line rated at 2.5 mb down and 384 up with sbc if anyone could give me a good troubleshooting procedure to try i would appreciate it.. i know that sometimes if we are uploading FTP it will cause issues but even without it seems to cause issues at times, any ideas? we also are behind two routers however the phones are not and im pretty sure this does not have any effect |

| Perhaps you're having QoS issue where data on your network causes the delay in your Vonage calls?
I've never had delay problems before but I used to have choppy voice calls whenever I do newsgroup download. Using an old PC installed with FreeBSD to perform router/QoS helped a bit. Some people uses a LInksys that can accept a 3rd party firmware and that might work too. |
