·WOW Internet and C..

I'm right along with you.

It use to be that most of the repair work I did was due to hardware and a few viruses here and there for those that didn't have any kind of virus protection on their computers. Not now, 98% of the computers I get in for repair are due to slow downs caused by Spyware/Adware that has been installed by the customer being dupped into installing spyware removal when the stuff is actually spyware itself.

I hated going to weddings as a child, all of the aunts and grandmotherly types would come and poke me saying "You're Next". They quit years later when I started doing the same to them at funerals

Their "Privacy Policy":

"Commitment to privacy
SpySpotter software is dedicated to the importance of people's privacy while using their computer. SpySpotter assures you that they are committed to your privacy. Our site makes use of an order form. We collect visitor's contact information (first name, last name, billing address, phone number, email address, and any other relevant information provided by you) as well as financial information (account or credit card numbers) with the purpose of processing orders as well as promoting company specials to our customers.

In other words : We will sell you our shitty software and then we will use your personal information to spam you so we can make even more money, but remember we care about your privacy!
Also this Privacy policy has nothing to do with privacy, it's just a legal disclaimer so you can't sue us

If you're stupid enough to pay for this piece of shit you probably don't deserve anything better.

Re: This should be illegal

Just a google search reveals a page full of questionable material: »www.google.com/search?q=Spyware+···oe=utf-8

Minus, of course the links to Adaware and Spybot-S&D of course !
