The Cisco and Motorola are two different beasts, as shown here. |

I have several vonage users on our wireless system and they seem to be fine just I as I am.. |

actually they say either is acceptable, however you will lose the QOS features if behind the router. |

| reply to cahiatt Actually yes. I have an alarm system that has a log to tell if the line ever went down. Then got a seperate line for that because you shouldn't have both DSL and that on the same line. So now I also have DSL with a 2wire modem and I can tell in that log if it has ever gone out...because the modem has been on 24/7. So in all honesty, yes. -- Broadband allows me to run my own internet radio station, »www.thebomb102.tk, something I could've only dreamed of. |

I've had landline service on my own for over 6 years now, and have NEVER been down!
At least not when you needed it... But are you positive it hasn't gone down? You monitor your POTS 24/7? |

| I have Vonage since last March, NO OUTAGE here. Incoming and outgoing are trouble free.
There's still a few Vonage customers who don't have their Motorola MTA behind a router. I was seeing DAILY lockups until I finally broke down and got a router last week. |
