[Packet8] Fixed my billing problem

Their billing department needs more help.
Well, Packet8 finally was able to charge my CC and clear up my past due balance. The problem seemed to originate when they switched the CC billing from 8x8 to Packet8, with hopefully a better rate. Because they had issues blocking them from being able to charge my CC, I have had to ask them not to suspend my account a few times. Every time I was notified of the problem I responded within 24 hours and reentered my CC info. I like their voip service so I bared with them.

I wish that they would activate online payments or scheduled billing dates with a 72 hour pre warning email.
The earlier posted reply from P8SUPPORT ~'You will be billed on the calendar month' is not acceptable.

Even accepting Paypal would have saved us the frustration and time.

Re: [Packet8] Fixed my billing problem

yeah
I was actually billed twice in July. I guess I owed it though. The last times though were not as big of a problem as they were before. I got an e-mail that said I needed to pay. But they didn't say they were going to cut off my serive or anything. I even told them a date when they could charge (it is a check card). But a better online payment and billing system is needed for sure.

I used to pay them with my paypal account. It worked fine until I let it run empty.

How did you pay them with PayPal? I'd like to know because then we could have more control over the date they're paid, and even give me the option of paying a couple of months in advance. Maybe P8 could even offer a discount for advance pre-payment? If there's a way to pay with PayPal, though, that would be great... I just don't see any information on that unless it's hidden on their site?

Maybe he means he paid them using the PayPal debit card?

Yes, I paid with my Paypal debit card. It was automatically drafted just like normal. I had to do that because for a little while, they weren't billing me properly. Sometimes they would bill me at the 1st of the month, sometimes near the end. One month they did not bill me at all and then the next month they billed me twice! I didn't have enough money in my bank account and so it caused an NSF fee. I then switched billing over to my debit card so that if they billed me again, they would simply get refused instead of charging me NSF fees. Paypal won't charge these fees.

I've since moved billing over to my bank account again after I got my finances in order. They have been billing me properly for the past 4 months or so; in that now I get billed on the 15th or 16th of the month.

Re: [Packet8] Fixed my billing problem

OK... gotcha. For a moment I thought there was another billing option at P8.
