617 is down right now (12:25 EST) and has been since around 10:00. "Simulring" works only 1 out of 4 times. Comcast connection going strong.

I have dial tone and can dial out on both lines (219). Can receive calls on both lines. Dialing voice mail (*123) from either connects but is extremely garbled. Second time I tried calling voice mail from my second line I lost dial tone on it, but it still worked for incoming calls. Dial tone is back now. Cannot reach the Vonage dashboard.

Hey, Vonage techs, make sure the cleaning crew didn't borrow a router's power outlet to plug up the old floor buffer!!!

OMG, IT WORKED!!!

Clearly this isn't a problem specific to any one area code. It's something central. For me, it's affecting placed calls only. I'm able to receive incoming no problem. Although, I assume this is all in a state of flux.

Vonage's Web site has updated the service announcement, by the way:

quote:
Customers may experience problems when placing calls due to a network event.

Also during this time e-mail notification of voicemail is temporarily disabled.

Our Engineers are aware of the issue and currently working to resolve it as quickly as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience in this matter.

301# in a 410 area

Calling Customer Service results in a busy tone.
Phone is down, calls in hear rings and then the call gets hung up. Receving side hears one ring.

Motorola vt1000v terminal get to 4 blinky lights and stays there.

I work in 301 and am able to hit the website just fine. I sent a help request via webform/email since I couldn't get a call in.

Glad to know that banging my head trying to figure this out isn't going to result in anything.

I called Comcast and they said it wasn't them and now it appears that I can trust that.

Heheh tell me about it! I used the "well, if the power goes out you have to wait for it to come back on, right? analogy". I just called, my wife heard it ring...but no communications yet.

Still down in 814

212 Area Code New York still down, incoming rings but no connection when picked up, outgoing was spotty all early morning and just plain stopped working around 11:00AM EST.
Website times out, customer service rings.

I wish they at least forwarded calls somewhere, network availability number is set, tried unplugging adapter but i believe their servers aren't updating.

Any confirmation if this is a DOS? I have been reading a lot of negative news, but in over 2 years i still have yet to have a problem of this magnitude.
