Re: [Vonage] Vonage + website down

Vonage phone service down in 508 and no access to the web site. This also happened for a few hours over the weekend. Been running fine for two months before that.

I can login to the website no problem, and can receiving *incoming* calls...however can not make ANY outgoing calls on either of my two Vonage lines.

I *am* getting successful, two-way communication with the Vonage SIP server (216.111.25.172), however, packet analysis shows their server responding to my SIP Invite requests with a "408 Request Timeout" ten seconds after I send my request.

Down in 425. Calling out, get one of 3 results:
- No dial tone for several seconds
- Dial known good number in 831 but get fast busy
- Dial, ring once or twice at other end, drops the line and gives busy signal. For example, calling my cell phone it rings once. Calling my PSTN it rings a couple times.
Calling in, it rings but disconnects immediately if I pick it up.

Was able to get on website but saw nothing special there.

Website up
Incomming Calls ring, but unable to answer them - THEY DON'T FORWARD!
Have dialtone - but calls go to fast busy

This is the third outage in two months I believe, plus that horrible echo call. That is a bit much for the "established" company to have, I think they might be growing too fast.

Edit: incoming calls can not be answered.

That's IT!! I'm Trialing AT&T's CALLVantage. I've had Vonage for about 18 months and have been patient enough. Articles and feeback have stated that AT&T's clarity and network stability is much better than this.

area code 630 is out. Dialed my number from office phone and call went to my voicemail, not forwarded to my network outage number. Voicemail announcement was choppy with lots of echo. Web site performance was iffy at best. Vonage better get its act together fast or I'm out of here. I have had their service for 2 weeks and now 2 days in a row and they are down. Better slow down the new subscribers until they can get a carrier grade phone network working.
