| [Help] Photoshop problem.
I am suddenly unable to expand the actions palette when I click on the little arrow at the top in Photoshop. The other palettes work fine. I haven't done anything new or unusual lately to account for this. Anyone ever have this happen or know how to fix it? -- Bidden or unbidden, God is always present. |

| reply to Paula I found this · I've recently downloaded and saved a bunch of actions from the web. Now I can't open the Actions Menu. Help!
This is a recurring problem that stumps nearly everybody, but there is a solution. For some strange reason, when too many actions are saved to the Actions Folder in the Photoshop Directory, the Actions Menu becomes inactive. The Solution: Transfer those newly saved actions to a different folder on your computer outside of the Photoshop Directory. The Action Menu will return, and as you can load actions from anywhere on your system, this will not affect how the actions function in Photoshop.

Though I didn't know about that bug, I always advise people to save their actions in a special separate directory, outside of the PS installation area. I was thinking more along the lines that it would make upgrading to a new version of Photoshop cleaner, but this adds to the reasoning.
I'm very honored to have the top spot, pcysmith.
