And what's even funnier is the fact that most of the competitors who have destroyed AT&T's residential LD business by undercutting them on price use the same underlying carrier -- you guessed it, Qwest. (Three of the past four "cheap" LD carriers I've used use Qwest as their underlying carrier; the fourth uses Global Crossing here, but Qwest in other states.)
I believe in five years or less AT&T will be no more -- probably eaten by BellSouth, if they don't eat Sprint first.
