What can you guys say about this software? It is reliable or not? And does it really 100% secure and encrypt your messages on (Yahoo,Windows,MSN,AOL Messenger clients)when you chat with someone that has IMsecure too?
Any feedbacks would really help coz I'm planning to buy this software. Thanks!

| Greetings,
There are many alternatives out there that are free. These sorta things requires both ends having the software which, prevents compatability. -- What I used to be I no longer am... God, why can't you freeze time for my sake? |

What are you trying to gain with this product? You know there is a free version you can use or try?

| reply to RayMorris There is Miranda »www.miranda-im.org/ for lots of protocols with a plugin called SecureIM »www.miranda-im.org/download/deta···e&id=411 which uses 192 bits AES Encryption for encryption.. and it is open source. So you should be secure with that one without having to buy your thingie. |

| reply to RayMorris Ok thanks for the suggestions... actually it is our company that asked me to get a security software that will protect and encrypt all Instant Messengers (Yahoo,MSN)on 86 computers (separate locations) and allotted me a budget of $1000 and a timeline of 7 working days.(Changing messenger clients is NOT an option)
I know there is a free version of IMsecure but they prefer the pro version... the only reason they said is that they want something that have the more features and a full control on it... (Weird)
Anyways thanks a lot! |

Personally for me. It currently doesn't support the client I use. So I don't use it.
"There will initially be two versions of the security application: IMsecure Pro 1.0, which will be made available for download from Zone's site for $19.95, as well as a scaled-down freeware version, Felman says. The company will incorporate features from IMsecure Pro into Zone Labs' corporate security application, Integrity, by year's end, he says."

| reply to RayMorris No protection against MITMA
If I recall correctly, these systems offer no protection against man-in-the-middle-attack. If that is correct, then they offer zero security so using them is waste of time and money.
Only similiar systems I know that give protection against man-in-the-middle-attack are Hush Messenger and PGPfone. Even in PGPfone however, the system is not tamper-proof (you have to spell out the encryption keys and hope that your recall your friends voice so nobody is cheating). -- My computer security & privacy related homepage »www.markusjansson.net Use HushTools or GnuPG/PGP to encrypt any email before sending it to me to protect our privacy. |
