Sales are going up because more people are getting into the new technology's (DVD players, Computers, consoles, cd players ect..) at a rate faster then previous buyers are turning into download only pirates. Most advocates say it's ok to pirate stuff as long as we don't make a profit off of it but have you ever heard the phrase "A penny saved is a penny earned"?
There's always pirate free for all advocates that will argue this but there is no denying (if you're a clear thinker) what negative impact piracy has had on the PC gaming scene. |

1 edit | reply to JonIrenicas Let me just say that I can't count the number of times I've played a pirated game then bought it because it didn't have a demo. If it wasn't for piracy I'd buy less games. I'm not sure how many people are like me, but I'm sure there are plenty. Before I downloaded stuff I quit buying games without demos because I was tired of getting ripped off by horrible games. |
