@rr.com | reply to dadkins How can it be "costing" them money when people are PAYING for their bandwidth. Just more crap put out trying to make things look worse than they actually are. |

"We made the numbers up out of our arses.... BUY OUR P2P FILTERS!!!!"
.... Two letters. A "B" and an "S". Now put them next to each other, with the B first, a period, and then the S, with a period, and you have the "validity" of their study.
Must be nice being able to make up whatever you want to try and drive sales.
Whatever! See the poster a little further down! -- "Regulatory capitalism is when companies invest in lawyers, lobbyists, and politicians, instead of plant, people, and customer service." - former FCC Chairman William Kennard (A real FCC Chairman, unlike the current Corporate Spokesperson in the job!) |

| reply to dadkins Sales are going up because more people are getting into the new technology's (DVD players, Computers, consoles, cd players ect..) at a rate faster then previous buyers are turning into download only pirates. Most advocates say it's ok to pirate stuff as long as we don't make a profit off of it but have you ever heard the phrase "A penny saved is a penny earned"?
There's always pirate free for all advocates that will argue this but there is no denying (if you're a clear thinker) what negative impact piracy has had on the PC gaming scene. |

1 edit | reply to JonIrenicas Let me just say that I can't count the number of times I've played a pirated game then bought it because it didn't have a demo. If it wasn't for piracy I'd buy less games. I'm not sure how many people are like me, but I'm sure there are plenty. Before I downloaded stuff I quit buying games without demos because I was tired of getting ripped off by horrible games. |
