Re: tsk

Really.

Does that happen with LD and internet? No and no. Other companies use Bell's backbone for both of those services and seem to flouish just fine.

Oh, and BTW, Bell is only objecting to price regulation by the CRTC. They want the CRTC to still come up with and enforce QOS rules and standards so that everyone plays on the same field.

Your not even talking about the same thing.. Sure there will always be tons of VOIP providers. Problem is its not just about price deregulation (or whatever they are complaining about now). Bell wants to be treated like a small fry when they arent.(they own major backbones) If Bell gets deregulated, later on down the road when everyone uses VOIP, Bell could fix their routers to give a lower priority or worse piority to packets from other VOIP companies possibly resulting in what appears to be poor service from the customers point of view. This could result in a loss of customers for that company if they decide to go to bell who promises better QOS for the same or cheaper price..

Well thats bundle prices.. So that has nothing to do with people who use a diff wireless carrier, diff Sat or Cable provider or inet provider.. Also ITS NOT VOIP!

So like I said, their long distance prices are outrageous. and if Bell had their way, they would attempt to put all the VOIP providers out of business then charge a arm and a leg to people who dont want their crappy inet or sat services..

And how many alternative long distance providors are there? Tons. Has Bell put all those guys out of business? Nope. Are long distance prices regulated? Nope. Thank you for proving my point. The CRTC should stay the hell out of it and let the men seperate from the boys.

What are you talking about?

$5/month for 1000 anytime Canada/US long distance minutes is ridiculous?

Where are you getting this? They dont have any such plans on their website..
