|  Wireless Broadband? I can see it dimly
Well, I'll be... Some people have all the luck in the world, getting 100+Mbps over cellular is really a huge leap forward... Go Japan! 
Of course, the US will not get such nifty improvements until all wireless operators decide on a single cellular standard (such as GSM in Europe) and develop it in a consistent way. That's what Japan has achieved: one cellular standard plus sustained research gives you LAN speeds over wireless. I hope this serves as a hint for Cingular, AT&T Wireless, Sprint PCS and Verizon Wireless to invest in wireless infrastructure. Otherwise soon we can forget all that and use NTT DoCoMo in the US, coz they will take over the operations of some of the wireless operators. |
