| [DSL] AOL for Broadband - TopSpeed Question
Recently reduced the size of the my temporary internet folder from the default 1 zillion to 80 MB and saw a tremendous increase in browsing speed. I was wondering if I should also tweak the AOL TopSpeed Web Browser Accelerator from the default 128 MB for the same reason... or do I even need it at all. Running AOL 9.0 for Broadband, Verizon DSL, 120 GB Hardrive, 1 GB RAM, Dell Dimension 8250 with McAfee firewall. Hope this was the right place to ask, and thanks in advance for any advice. |

| reply to TJZ201 With one-third of online households using dial-up Internet(1), AOL has made enhancements to the dial-up experience with new AOL(R) TopSpeed(TM) to make dial-up a better, faster experience. AOL TopSpeed Web acceleration technology reduces Web download times making browsing over dial-up faster and easier. -from aol's website |
