2 edits | I am assuming that you are on a Verizon 1500/128 line. If so, your MTU is much too low. On your tweak test the line speed should be entered as 1500 and would look something like this:

Here are some settings to try.
Download DrTcp
In the drop down adapter settings menu enter 1480 as the MTU for your adapter.
Set Tcp Receive Window to 37752
Set Windows Scaling, Time Stamping, Selective Acks, Path MTU Discovery, Black Hole Detection to Default.
Leave Max Duplicate Acks and TTL Blank
Save/Exit DrTcp
Reboot
Rerun both the tweaks test and speed test |

| never had aol, i would not allow that trash on my computer... had earthlink dial up before.
3- i already did the quality test and posted it... look up~ im runing another one now that i have changed the settings to what is posted, ill copy the link in just a second...

I dont use this blah blah stuff...
i got a SiS 645 motherboard... has on board SiS 900-Based PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter which is connected to a dual(usb & ethernet socket) Westell Wirespeed dsl modem... the usb port(on the modem) has a usb cord conncted to it, which leads to another computer with the following stats: Win98.. pentium II 400mhz i think, 128RAM(this computer also uses the same connection) this crapy computer doesnt have a network card, only thing its connected to other than the electrical socket is the dsl modem~ using the usb port.
this computer i am using is pentium4 1.7ghz, 512RAM, WinXP(this one i ran all the tests on)

The 25740 did not have errors, while 37752 did. Let's go in the middle and try 33120. All you need to post this time is the URLs for the Tweak and speed tests. |
