I popped it into my computer and got an autorun.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. So i brought the game to my friend's house who has win xp. Installed the game fine without any autorun.exe errors. I cannot install the game without autorun.exe. The setup.exe is linked to the autorun.exe. |

Do you have documentation? -- Have you tweaked your OOL connection? |

If you use Windows Explorer and navigate to your CD drive, you can't run SETUP from there? What other files are in the root of your CD drive? Is there an autorun.inf that you can view? -- Have you tweaked your OOL connection? |

XzibitWtf Mate?Premium join:2002-04-19 Santa Clara, CA | reply to Xzibit I can run setup.exe from windows explorer... but as soon as i click the setup.exe, it gives me the autorun.exe error has generated errors right away. And i don't see an inf file. |

|
 | A setup file shouldn't be linked to an autorun.exe file just by windows. Have you done any virus scans whatsoever?
It's a possibility that you do have one. Virus, that is. By the way, what OS are you running the game on? |

 | Nobody going to reply to me? |

 | reply to windrowsy I to have had the same error.
Once the CD Key is entered, the windows error window pops up with autorun as the problem.
It has happened with Fifa 2004, Nba Live 2004 and now it is happening with LOTR: Return of the King!!!!
I am running Windows XP.
Can someone please advise on what to do. Is it the windows autorun that is the problem?
It seems to happed with the EA Install program number 7...
Thanks. |
