paul2lv : I had the same problem. If the router uses the default IP address, it conflicts with the VPN. I would change the router address from the default (192.168.1.1) to something like 192.168.123.1.
Hope this helps.

anon : Okay, I'm totally stumped now. Any advice would be appreciated!

My problem is that I'm trying to access my work VPN from home, but getting stuck after it prompts me for my credentials. I get the message saying I've been authorised by the firewall, but then it fails to connect to any servers etc. If I plug my laptop directly into the cable modem, then everything works fine...

So far I've tried almost everything, but I still can't get the damn thing working. I'm on firmware version 2.02.2.1.wfb 01/02/2004 and aside from the VPN, everything else works great.

What can I try next? I'm not super 'techy', but any ideas would be great. Everything is running w2k, the router is hardware v1.1, VPN used by my work is SecuRemote by checkpoint.
