port 69 blocked on Frontier DSL stops Vonage

anon : my vongage phone service stopped working after i moved it to a frontiernet.net DSL connection. apparently in order to get the firmware update the isp needs to leave port 69 unblocked. i had to bring the cisco ata adapter to a optonline.net connection in order for it to update. it udated the firmware immediately and my Vonage service started working immediately. I am now going to have get rid of the Frontier DSL service.
