I have Internet access for about six hours, then have to unplug the Adelphia provided cable modem.  Was talking to someone at CompUSA today with a simular problem. In order to work with Adelphia network, the level 2 tech need to upgrade the firmware. You will see a diagnostic page for your cable model. If on that page you see a faster and slower button, then you have the correct firmware. If not you need to call tech support, and tell them to "upload the correct file to your cable modem". They use the term "file" for firmware.]]></description>

That's kind of the part that throws me; the fact that it works for a little while, then craps out almost as if service is being actively denied.  I noticed that the dhcp lease according to the router page is around 12 hours, maybe it's not sending a renewal request early enough so Adelphia is cutting us off?<br><br>Thanks again,<br>bye.]]></description>

The router will get an IP address, but about 6 hours later it loses connectivity to anything beyond the cable modem.  Unplugging cable modem resolves the issue for another 6 hours.  I've tried cloning the MAC address to that of the laptop used during installation to no avail.  I've also upgraded to the latest firmware on the router.  <br><br>Has anybody seen this before?  Has anybody gotten a linksys (or any manufacturer) router to work with Powerlink in this area (San Diego)?<br><br>Thanks,<br>bye.]]></description>
