Thanks.

Most likely the network is impaired somehow or another. It has been an ongoing problem for weeks, however the worst of it seems to be over (many people were seeing speeds of less than 100mS). Try a speed test to the SBC site, that will give you some idea of if it is a local vs. a Net problem, also the Line Quality test can help there as well.

I would agree that a call to the general tech support would most likely land you with an unnecessary cap. You could IM a note to one of the techs to look at your line, ut chances are there is little they can do for it unless you have developed a line problem.

sbkansas : Xdriver, do not call into tech support, there is a good chance they will just cap your line. The best advice is to just wait a few days and see if it clears up. If after this time it does not, come back here and post the links to a "line quality" and a "tweaks" test.
--
Have a Happy Day, Steve.

Xdriver : See my latest speed test, has been similar since early this week. Your Throughput

Download = 823.36 kbps
Upload = 90.39 kbps

Last week, I was running 1325 down and about the same 90 up. I am some 38% slower downloading. Are they doing something to the network, or should I bother calling SBC-CS? Thanks.
