I thought I'd seen an explanation as to why in the past. But can't find it at the moment. There may just be something wrong with the test or the test server might just be congested. Always try MULTIPLE test - especially when you see results out of the normal. But seeing 601 on a 3000/128 connection is something you don't want to see consistently on any speed test.
It would probably be best to start another thread on this - so others can see the question.
IGGY : Only monthly limits I've ever seen discussed have been in relation to news groups. »Insight BB Forum FAQ »Are there restrictions for InsightBB newsgroups?
And yes I'm blowing my own horn again but a lot of this stuff is covered in my bookmarks for Insight and in the FAQ on this site.

Do keep in mind I'm sure there are unofficial limits. And if your at those limits on a regular basis you may in fact get flagged for investigation etc. I think in the time I've been in this forum I've seen maybe 1 user post that they had received a warning from Insight. I know it's been awhile since I've read that post - so I couldn't direct anyone to it - yes I forgot to bookmark it.
I would say currently Insight is one of the few ISP that are fairly liberal with there policy towards usage. I think there more worried about upload usage than download honestly. Let's hope with the new upgrades they don't decided to become a little more strict with there usage policy. I have reservations about this type of thing for many reasons.
There have many months where I've done a good amount of uploading and downloading. Especially downloading and I've never been called to task for it knock on wood. So from my usage ( which is fairly heavy at times ) I'd say you'd have to try very hard to raise red flags from Insight. This is of course just my experience and opinion. User experience may vary.
--
Test Your Security Team Z Member Cable Modem Diagnostics InsightBB 3000/384 XP PRO
