Because it seems to me they do NO forecasting for their customer base, and simply allow their existing infrastructure to get used up, causing latency and performance problems. Then, when they realize it's overloaded (WAY too late), they place the order for more parts/etc to increase the capacity. I've seen it happen over and over, they just have NO insight into their market and how many people they'll sign up. They're unique in that every other successful business I know of has people who actually do forecasting and business analysis.
