2 edits | Really How bad is internet reporting really getting. I mean take this story. One person that works at best buy as a salesman really warrants a headline of BEST BUY as a corporation. Its no wonder reporting is going the route of the dinasour. At least the original story has it as a best buy employee and not as best buy. I mean really karl, Its one freakin person as a salesman in new york. a person trying to make a sale of a modem no less. Not that i like best buy bescause i dont BUT really this shit is pitifull. |

It is not just one Best Buy employee. The same exact line is being used by employees here in Rochester as well. Evidently a memo went out.
Yes they are trying to make a modem sale, and frankly BB isn't accurate -- a customer can buy a modem and still use the eMTA from TWC for free (for now anyway). They don't actually have to tell customers anything about the phone service to make a sale, but for whatever reason, they are. The only reason for this has to be the training some employees are getting, otherwise it would have been just this one guy. But it isn't.
Ironically, TWC has sold its service inside BB stores for years, at least in upstate NY. |
