Re: century link - tw telecom After Hurricane Issac, we found out just how 'redundant' TW's fiber was in Metairie...it's apparently run as a single loop, with no redundancy in the path at all. Because there were multiple locations that lost power, there were multiple points of failure in the loop, and even though we had power we were dead in the water. 
I wish they would have just been honest to begin with...we were sold a pig with lipstick that "didn't go down at all during Katrina!" |
