Once upon a time being a slaveowner, and beating your wife meant you were playing by the rules. In the end I imagine we are judged not based on how we explited the loopholes of our time's unrefined laws and thought processes but rather on our common sense, good judgment in spite of society's flaws, and decency.

The comparison is not that irrational since they both used to be legal... that was the point. Also, since this thread is really about Samsung defending a patent, if Samsung wins the lawsuit and the iPhone 5 is blocked from being sold in the US would you be fine with that?
