Re: Friends don't let friends use GoDaddy

I'm happy as I just transferred all my domains from GoDaddy this past summer; and got a free year + domain whois anonymisation for each domain for the next year.

I swear, GoDaddy rate hikes registrations year after year harder than Comcast bumps Cable pries.

Ditto here. I just moved a friends primary domain from GoDaddy to Namecheap a few months back.

A month ago I had his other domain's MX records pointed to a domain on Namecheap so he's mostly still up and running (except for a few GoDaddy hosted subsidiary sites).

I personally don't like GoDaddy.
I don't like the endless spam from secureserver.net and I don't like their support for anti-Privacy bills in Congress (CISPA).

You went to Namecheap as well? Well met!

I also agree with your statement. I cannot patron a company that chooses to support CISPA and SOPA.

I took my business elsewhere.

CISPA? That's a new one.
