 | Labor Day. It's the day that we set aside to honor working people. I guess that leaves out most union members, civil servants, government bureaucrats and politicians, so everyone else, feel honored. |

| Who needs a holiday when you spend your days fighting fires in full gear in 100 degree heat, fishing people out of a stuck elevators, going to another state to help restore electricity in Louisiana, subduing a shotgun wielding student, working a desk at the always boring hurricane center, getting chewed on, babysitting some pesky astronauts or getting shot at? Being in a civil service job is a holiday it itself. |

And before anybody states those workers should find a better job... Just think some of those same people would be here ranting if all the shops closed on labor day with things like "WTF I needed a light switch and home depot was closed on a holiday." -- [65 Arcanist]Filan(High Elf) Zone: Broadband Reports |

 | reply to KrK Another day at the plantation.
I signed up for nights, weekends and holidays so no griping here.
Don't feel too bad. I've been in the ocean, pool, made a few casts and had some BBQ tonight.
38 more days for the season. Not like I'm counting.... |

 | reply to skeechan Yeah... town I grew up in had a big funeral once for the only cop to die on duty. His arteries clogged shut right in his car, from one too many donuts. Half eaten donut laying on the seat next to him. Took five guys to lift him out of the car. It was sad... |
