They also want to eliminate porn on demand in hotels.
Don't you just love it when someone else's "morality" is shoved down your throat?
The party of smaller govt has your best interests at heart dontcha know.
Stay tuned, book banning and witch burnings coming up for discussion next... -- When fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross. Sinclair Lewis |

And even then there is generally some bounds as to how much is shown.
For porn on the internet, well, it's just a free for all with EVERYTHING available somewhere.
Ultimately though, anything they try to implement will ultimately fail. They've been trying to block it since the beginning of the internet, and here we stand. If they can't block people from illegal file sharing that a smaller portion of the population participates in, how are they going to accomplish legal porn that far more people voluntarily look at one time or another? |

But you still have to seek it out, generally. I can probably count on one hand the number of times in 15 years of using the internet I've accidentally stumbled onto porn. -- You're watching Sports Night on CSC so stick around... |

The point wasn't that it's always in your face whether you want it or not, it's that it's readily available to anyone with extremely little between you and it. With almost all other distributions (print, DVDs, pay TV) it takes a conscious and deliberate effort to find and/or see it. |

But the point is- they don't want it to be available to anyone- period- whether they're willing to pay for it or not.
*THEY* believe it's indecent and immoral, therefore *you* shouldn't have a choice as to whether or not you want to watch it.
I don't believe they're going to be successful either, but I find the fact that they want to do this pretty damned scary. -- When fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross. Sinclair Lewis |

It's political posturing. It's been going on for decades over one topic or another. It's nothing new. And just like with every other campaign promise, it will be broken about 2 seconds after they get into office. |
