Now just fix the overpriced voice plans.

No all I need is a $5/mo voice plan with maybe 200 talk minutes to go along with this $20 data plan and they'd have me as a customer. 500 minutes voice for $34.99/month? pfft. Try again.

Since you have unlimited data, get a VOIP account. Gingerbread and later (and maybe earlier) Android phones have VoIP support baked in. Get an account with Anveo and get a phone number for about $2 a month that includes 40 incoming minutes "free" per day plus $.01/min outgoing to ConUS callers. $5 will get you over 300 minutes and overages are....$.01/min (.015/min incoming)

You could always look to verizon (110/month, unlimited talk/text/4 GB web), att (110/month for 450m + any mobile, unlimited text, 5GB web), or sprint (79.99/month for 450m, unlimited text and data)...

So for 59.99/month for 500 minutes, unlimited text + data (+10 if you want to kick it up to the unlimited any mobile... but then it's just the same price to make it unlimited EVERYTHING...) in comparison it's not that bad a deal.

granted, you could shave $5 off the above plan if you want to use alternative messaging platforms (google voice, for example) for text messaging (or just never plan on texting), but again, comparatively $5 is cheap for unlimited messaging.

(disclaimer, all prices from verizon/sprint/att were the publicly gathered ones available on thier website. SERO plans or other grandfathered plans were not included).
