No, it is TOTALLY different...

See, the power button be in the front...totally different. And the top is black instead of silver. And Chromebox has an all black bottom instead of black and silver. Geez...how can you guys make the comparison with such obvious differences.

It's a popular form-factor. What's your point?

Apparently from the back it looks much more like a Mini.

No, it has USB ports on the front, making it more usable.

Why would anyone want USB ports on the front? That'd ruin the design. Jeez

It looks like a nice device but I've come to love airplay too much. Every other form of sharing, streaming and browsing media has come to feel archaic to me.

I wish Apple, Microsoft and google products could all talk to each other with such simplicity.

I can't tell you how many times I've killed the power to my mini, because the USB ports are in the back. the older mini with the external power brick has a terrible power connector to the mini and it pulls out with zero resistance.

You know how many tims I've been frustrated to plug in something to the imacs at work? Always have to turn the machine around to find the usb port...

Apple's ideas are not always the best. But hey they look good, but they're not always practical. They could have a side usb port. but noooo.

Just a guess here... but probably to plug in USB devices. Like USB flash drives or another iPhone cable. My dad got a USB hub for his Mac mini for just this purpose.

Whats my point ... Samsung has no shame. Beat the competition with better products, not trying to deceive people

You know I always go to Mac/Apple based forums thinking, "man maybe this time around people will stop with the fanboy attitude and just drop it and not care that something looks like an Apple computer." Then I read threads like these and it proves every bad thing about Apple fans all over again.

Who cares if it looks like a mini, the small form factor has existed for a long time, just because Apple made a computer that was a square doesn't mean a thing. Not to mention what is wrong with Chrome, for anybody who has had family members who are idiots with computers and love to destroy stuff things like these are god sends because they provide a limited environment and help reduce the amount of junk people might corrupt.

I'm not going to lie, in our corporate environment I have drawn up a few proposals around using this instead of a Wyse client because this does Citrix Receiver which a good portion of our company is going to start using to help reduce costs of new PC's for a lot of low level employees. What makes it worthless is the fact that it has literally no enterprise functionality or ability to bind with AD or use LDAP authentication. Other than that it's a great little computer for the most basic users.

Funny how quickly apple fanboys forget how much apple has stolen... Not to mention they would not exist if they didn't steal from Xerox..

Does any of that look familiar? Those are 60s braun products.

Purchased from Xerox for RTB $1M in pre-IPO stock that would be worth $1.3B today but don't let facts get in your way.

Might be relevant if Apple was making appliances to directly compete with Braun back in the 1960s. The gutsy innovation is making a computer today that looks like a 60's toaster oven and being able to sell the damn thing.

If the designers of Chromebucket took the same risks, it would be a gutsy and innovative industrial design call. Simply copying your direct competitor who took those design risks is neither gutsy nor innovative.

Carry on, OP.
