I dumped DirecTV in the spring and got a TiVo box. We now watch the local stations from the antenna and also watch a lot of shows via Netflix on the TiVo. I think the only thing I will miss is Monday Night Football.
And if ESPN was more forward thinking they would offer their "WatchESPN" as an online subscription instead of forcing one to have cable TV to use it. HBO suffers form the same lack of vision.
