Washington, DC | A ruling again porn companies would affect all companies The mass-lawsuit fishing for settlement money is used by groups affiliated with movie and recording associations. I think a judgement around copyrighted pornography would apply the same to other copyrighted products.
So many interests fighting against anonymity. Verizon and AT&T already know who you are, they've got no incentive to share the info. It's a shame they don't take the same approach with US Government. |

Few organizations have a checkbook the size of the United States Federal Government. Ever see the movie Sneakers? The most realistic part of that movie is at the end, when James Earl Jones (working for the NSA) buys the silence of the protagonists. Uncle Sam doesn't threaten to kill people to get cooperation, he simply opens the checkbook and asks "How much?" |
