The company next week will begin using algorithms that push potentially pirated material to a lower position in search results, Mountain View, California-based Google said today in a blog posting on its website.
The new system will use removal notices, or complaints from entertainment companies, that a website has received in ranking search results
So while this new signal will influence the ranking of some search results, we wont be removing any pages from search results unless we receive a valid copyright removal notice from the rights owner, Singhal said.
This will hurt pirate sites more than any court actions by RIAA/MPAA. -- »www.mittromney.com/s/repeal-and-···bamacare »www.mittromney.com/issues/health-care |

Nah, pirates are an incredibly adaptable bunch and this is a very low effort workaround. People who haven't already will simply install a browser add-on and/or move to Blekko. This is a fluff move to keep RIAA/MPAA happy.
Thanks for the businessweek link. |

2.) Google Cable TV in KC will need licenses from the cable stations which all link back to big content.
if it was not for those two things they would continue to give hollywood the finger because nothing would have any pressure on them. -- [65 Arcanist]Filan(High Elf) Zone: Broadband Reports |
