WTF are you talking about? Its part of their job description ! They are bridge , tunnel, highway officers, who make transactions at toll booths ! ! I'm calling bullshit on that one. It is well known that toll collection jobs and most toll authority jobs are patronage positions that are handed out as gifts or favors by those who have political power.
And I'm still laughing at using cops to collect tolls. What a waste of money that should be used for maintaining the asset being tolled.
Or maybe they just hated me because when I did pay cash for tolls I used the highest bills I could on purpose.  . Make them work a little.
