While companies like AT&T and Verizon may be offering LTE data services, voice services are still running over their older HSPA and EVDO networks. As we noted yesterday, both telcos are expected launch HD voice over LTE services, with the higher-definition services going mainstream in 2013.
Correct me if I'm wrong here, but that should say 'voice services are still running over older GSM/HSPA and 1x networks'. EVDO does not handle voice services. |
