Yes in an ideal world there wouldn't be caps. In an ideal world I'd have $1 billion and Mila Kunis too. That aint happening either.
350 GB for 20 Mbps is certainly better than what anyone else has out there. Most everyone else is stuck on 250 GB except Comcast which upped their caps to 300 GB. And the 999 GB cap, really no one should whine about that. Charter's 100 Mbps tier has a 500 GB cap.

another blooming idiot.

i pay big dollars for my connection. if i choose to
download 1tb+ a month, thats my business. you make the assumption of illegal downloading. why does it have to be illegal. i can legally download easy 2tb monthly. besides, very little is paid by the .coms for download, its upstream that costs them. hence the 20/2 50/5 etc. this way they can control out costs.
yer pitching for the company on illigal, caps, etc. makes me think ya got an investment with em. lol

Actually when you signed up for service there was TOS the you AGREED to. That TOS has a CAP. So you AGREED to abide by that cap when you signed up for service. Which part are you not getting?

Hardly EASY to download 2 TB a month when less than 1% of 1% do it. Why don't you tell why it's easy.

Quit thinking. it doesn't work for you. I'm not pitching for anyone. I've stated time and time again I'm against caps. That they are a stupid way of managing their networks and that that's not why they have them in the first place. And that if they insist on having caps they need to be much higher than what they have been.

The reality is 999 GB is plenty. Will it be in 5 years? Who knows. We'll see in 5 years. But in 2012 it's very generous. Anyone whining about "only" having a 999 GB cap is being disingenuous.

uhhh, i been with em so long m8 there was no "cap" limit. there wasnt even a contract. all we did is sign up for service and when it came to town, they went down the list and started installing modems and running wires.
your 1% of 1% is thier numbers. not true. my son worked there for several years. so i beg to differ with ya. so please know before ya actually think ya know. easy to come to these forums and spout and spew garbage.
