| PC upgrade time Went on a small shopping spree at newegg the other day to upgrade my pc a bit. Bought another amd 6870 so I can crossfire with my other 6870, a western digital 1tb green for movies, music, 2 new 120mm trispeed fans for my push/pull radiator system and a blu ray player with playback software. Accessory wise I bought a new 2.1 40w logitech speaker and a thermaltake usb hard drive dock.I was thinking of upgrading to a solid state drive but right now its too much of a hassle to get everything back up and running.
When I build my next rig in 2-3 years, definetely going solid state. Oh and also rebuilding my desk with a bigger piece of stained maple plywood. |

I prefer to overclock the card that I have until I've reached its true potential, and then once that's no longer sufficient, I'll shop for a better card.
SSD I'm a bit warmer towards, but it's still a maturing technology. Case in point: Someone I know from an online game I play had to update his SSD's firmware, because that model would start to malfunction after 5,000 or so hours of operation. -- I may have been born yesterday, but I've spent all afternoon downtown. |
