 | Lincoln Nebraska Outage I just spoke to a Teir I representative and he said there was an outage in our area. He said "they are trying to fix the computer you connect to, to get the internet," and didn't know when it would be repaired.
Is there any chance it will be repaired tonight or before the weekend, or will I be without internet the entire weekend? (My second in a row because of a cross connection issue last weekend) |

 | Thanks. Normally, we have avaible bandwidth of 14.9 up and .7 down. We pay for 12 and meet or exceed that, so I doubt it is latency. |

I would expect any one of those issue to be resolved very quickly as it will be a priority issue. Of course if it is a power issue we can turn up generators to make sure there is Dial Tone, but we are at the power company's mercy as to getting DSL back up.

 | They seem stable. I ran a speed test last night and the average download was 12.6 Mbps. I'm not entirely sure when the connection was repaired though. I rebooted the modem Sunday night and it was able to re-establish the connection. I know that there was an outage though, because I did the same thing Friday and Staurday nights and the connection didi not come back. Do the engineers typically call customers to let them know to reboot their router? If so, I am guessing that they only call the windstream DSL number and not the contact number in the account. |

However I do not know if they call the DSL number or the contact number. I would assume it calls whatever is listed as the best contact number. Not all trouble cases require a reboot, they may have decided that with this one it wasn't needed. Either way I am glad everything is up and working for you.
