Cable Industry Lost 400,000 Users So Far in 2012 > Is it Net Losses Across the Whole Industry?

I cut the cord on Cable TV due to the price being too high but I still wonder if this a net loss of subscribers, or did most of these people simply switch to another provider that offered a better promotional deal?

For example, say Comcast was charging you $150 a month for a TV/Internet Bundle but then you found a promotional TV/Internet Bundle from Verizon for $100 a month. Someone who switches from Comcast to Verizon under those circumstances would be counted in subscriber losses for Comcast but that person isn't a cord-cutter either.
